Bernardo Silva's Late Goal Fires City into FA Cup Final
Manchester City are into the FA Cup final after Bernardo Silva's late goal earned them a 2-1 win over Newcastle United on Tuesday.
City dominated possession and chances but found Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope in inspired form. The visitors took the lead against the run of play when Allan Saint-Maximin fired home in the first half.
Kevin De Bruyne equalized for City with a stunning long-range strike early in the second half. Silva then won the game for City with a close-range finish in the 85th minute.
City will now face Arsenal in the final at Wembley on August 1.
The victory keeps City's hopes of retaining the domestic double alive. They are currently one point behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race with two games remaining.
Newcastle's defeat ended their hopes of winning their first major trophy since 1969. They will now focus on securing a top-ten finish in the Premier League.
